Hayne Shumate (Past Speaker)

Hayne Shumate, Senior Vice President of Internet Business at Mouser Electronics, leads an international team that designs, builds and hosts Mouser’s award winning websites. 

Hayne joined Mouser in 2008 to consolidate related teams from Information Systems and Marketing into an Internet Business Department.  This new department was built to support and enhance Mouser’s rapid international growth as the company diversifies its sales beyond the catalog. Product Data responsibility was added to the Internet Business department in 2016.  Traffic and transactions have increased more than 1000% since the department was formed.

Shumate’s department has launched the electronic component industry’s most capable Mobile Website (in 20 Languages and 30+ Currencies), Bill of Materials (BOM) processing tool and Customer Inventory Management application. As a strategic problem-solver, Shumate has led systems and process improvements, enabling Mouser’s web properties to support 200,000 online orders per month.
